Mr. Jérémie Benhamou
User Interface Art Director
Elecronic Arts, Canada
My name is Jeremie Benhamou.
I am a “User Interface Art Director” at Electronic Arts Montreal.
I’ve been working at EA for more than 2 years. I work for the Action Games branch of EA called “Visceral Games”. So far, I’ve worked on titles like Need For Speed™, Dead Space™, and Army of Two™.
I am currently working on games that will be released in 2013 and 2014, the production time for each game being between 2 and 4 years.
Prior to working at EA, I’ve been working in communication agencies in Paris for more than 10 years; I started as a graphic designer and became Art Director after a couple of years, designing ad campaigns and websites for clients such as Sony, Volkswagen, Ubisoft and many others.
My job is to create visually outstanding user interfaces, from art research, concept and graphic design to animation and integration.
Everyday I work closely with highly skilled artists and engineers dedicated to the creation of User
Interfaces and graphic design. My role is to ensure that the interfaces and the graphic design of the game reach the level of visual quality desired by the franchise Art director.
Our technologies allow us to have a real creative freedom in this domain, especially on a franchise like Dead Space where initiative and innovation are highly encouraged.
Every morning, I grab a ‘grande’ hot chocolate at Starbucks and play a speed chess game against my team-mate Randy. That’s a perfect way to start a working day.
I can tell you the next UIs we are working on really push the bar higher. I can’t wait to show you what’s
next.
