Frank Stirling was most recently Executive Director of Boeing Digital where he was responsible for the business and marketing of all technical and business aspects of the Digital Cinema program, including the design, development and implementation of the digital cinema system. He was charged with the target of creating a viable and operating business with revenue. He achieved that with the revenue-generating release of 19 major Hollywood movies and 23,000 screenings delivered to 31 theatrical systems installed by Boeing over two years in Seattle, Chicago, Boston, New York, Wash DC, Memphis, Wichita, Big Spring, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and London.
Frank Stirling is currently CEO and President of Breakpoint Digital, a company focused upon the aggregation and distribution of digital content through various distribution channels to emerging platforms.

Mark Kimball Director, Digital Production Walt Disney Company, U.S.A
Kimball started his career working on computerized motion picture special effects for the movie Tron, and has worked on film production tools and technology for over twenty years. He has been a key architect for numerous technical projects for Walt Disney including CAPS (Computer Animation Production System) for which he received an Academy Award in 1992 for Scientific and Engineering Achievement.
For the last two years he has been involved in the work of the Digital Cinema Initiatives consortium of seven major Hollywood studios. Kimball currently works as Director of Digital Production for The Walt Disney Company.

Amie Hardie

Amy Hardie is the executive director of Docspace Ltd, which she founded in November 2003, to implement the digital distribution strategy outlined in her 2002 report Docspace: a fresh look at audience and screening.
A documentary director/producer with several international awards, Amy Hardie has expounded the benefits of a digital exhibition strategy with articles in Dox, ReelScreen, Roughcuts and Vertigo magazines.
She has been a panellist at Sundance, Toronto, Gotenburg, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Sunnyside of the Doc and other major film festivals arguing for a dedicated documentary exhibition strategy.
Supported by Scottish Screen and a network of cinemas throughout the UK, Docspace leads the research component of theCinemaNet Europe , which she was involved in setting up with Bjorn Koll of Salzgeber GmbH and Kees Ryninks of Docuzone NL.

Gwendal Auffret is a Senior Digital Consultant with seven years experience in digitization of film and Digital Cinema. He is specialized in the definition of innovative strategic agendas for the cultural, media and intertainment industries.
In 2001, after designing and developing a new model for indexing and structuring digital audio-visual archives at INA the French TV and Radio Archives, Gwendal joined Forum des Images, an art-house theater and film archive. There he managed the digitization of 6700 films and the modernization of on demand consultation services. In 2004, Gwendal created AvantiDigital, a company providing consulting services and D-Cinema solution integration to European exhibitors and labs.
Gwendal holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Universite de Technologie de Compiegne in France. He is an active member of SMPTE.

Ira Deutchman

Ira Deutchman has been making, marketing and distributing films for twenty-seven years, having worked on over 130 films including some of the most successful independent films of all time. He was one of the founders of Cinecom and later created Fine Line Features—two companies that were created from scratch and in their respective times, helped define the independent film business.
Currently Deutchman is President and CEO of Emerging Pictures, a New York-based digital film production and exhibition company. Deutchman is also a partner in Redeemable Features, an independent production company that he founded to develop and produce a wide range of theatrical and television programming.
Deutchman is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Film Division at Columbia University, and is the Chairman of the Independent Feature Project/New York.

Matthew Cowan

Matt has over twenty years experience in the development and application of new products in the media and display fields. His comprehensive background includes development of electronic projection systems, analysis of color reproduction issues in electronic displays, strategic technology sourcing, reviews of advanced electronic projection products and detailed analysis of compression schemes for digital images.
Matt was instrumental in developing the current mastering processes used in digital cinema which introduced the use of the digital mastering theatre for color and dynamic range adjustment. He has built ETC's reputation as a digital imaging technology think tank that provides sound answers to engineers, project managers and developers in the technology community.
Matt has been an invited speaker and panelist for numerous industry conferences and film festivals that include ShoWest, SMPTE, The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST). He holds an M.A.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Matt chaired the SMPTE DC28.3 study group on compression for digital cinema and remains an active DC28.0 participant.

Al Barton

Al started his career in the production and postproduction field working for Video Tape Associates as the video engineer for the plant. He then joined Sony, and for the past 22 years worked in various divisions and companies in various positions. He joined Sony Electronics in 1983 with responsibility for technical support in the Southeastern Region of the US. Al moved to New Jersey in 1990 as Marketing Manager for monitors.
For 5 years he was Director of the Display Group, which included projectors and monitors before moving to California 6 years ago to work on D-Cinema as General Manager of the technical and engineering group of Sony Cinema Products Company. Al helped establish the SMPTE groups working on D-Cinema Standards called DC28. He served as Chair of the Projection Committee (DC28.8) for two years and is currently Co-Chair of the Technology Committee (DC28).
Al then joined Sony Pictures Entertainment 2 years ago to lead the development of Digital Cinema Technologies. As VP of Digital Cinema Technologies his responsibilities include work in Digital Cinema Initiatives LLC (DCI), formed by 7 studios to develop a specification for worldwide deployment of D-Cinema Exhibition of Motion Pictures, Digital Policies related to Digital content for Theatrical release, and Digital Cinematography for feature films.
Al participates in SMPTE, ITU, ISO, ANSI, ITEA, EDCF, ICIA, Inter-Society, ETC, and DCI.

Lall Entertainment serves as an "Strategic Advisor" to a select few organizations including the Government of India's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and major Indian animation, broadcasting and cinema companies.. The Government of India also appointed Lall Entertainment as an "International Consultant" for the International Film Festival of India held in Goa.
Lall Entertainment is currently producing three digital feature films and distributing a package of ten Indian feature films worldwide.

Peter Belsito

Peter Belsito graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and from the Masters film program at UCLA where he was a graduate teaching assistant at UCLA Film School. He was a founding member of Newsreel, a radical anti war student filmmaking collective. He was a founding member of the Independent Feature Project (IFP) in New York City in 1981 and opened the IFP office in Los Angeles. He was a founding member of the Chicano Cinema Coalition. After graduating from UCLA he worked as a cinematographer, produced feature films and feature documentaries and wrote screenplays. His produced documentary ‘Valley of Tears' is playing the festival circuit now (LA Latino FF, Margaret Mead FF 2003) and is being distributed in the US by Seven Arts.
He worked in publishing for ten years for Charles T. Munger, Vice Chairman of Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway, and assisted Sydney Levine in founding FILM FINDERS in 1988 as a blue chip film acquisitions tracking, consulting and publishing firm. He came on board full time in 1995 as a FILM FINDERS partner, Head of Sales and Marketing and Executive Vice President. Peter recently founded the growing Film Finders Consulting division. Both Peter and Sydney have been involved for the last fifteen years in professional education and with young filmmakers via countless festival and market panels and forums and active course involvement.

Paul Duchouquette

Paul Duchouquette in addition to traditional IT is also responsible for audio and visual technologies including Digital Cinema.
Prior to joining the Wagner/Cuban team, Duchouquette was Director of IT for Virgin Entertainment Group, an operating company that oversees the continuing expansion of the Virgin brand throughout North America. During which time he completed many major projects, most notably the creation and deployment of the first national “try before you buy” kiosks using streaming audio and video on demand for thousands of DVD & CD titles. He also introduced digital signage to Virgin’s Megastores and a business intelligence case study which Microsoft incorporated into the launch of BizTalk 2004.
Formally, Duchouquette has held key positions of technology leadership at:
- Westec InterActive; the first national provider of a high-tech interactive risk and remote management systems utilizing real-time streaming video and audio Digital Video Recording technology.
