Montreal. August 28, 2002. The winners of the 2002 Canadian Student Film & Video Festival are:

Norman McLaren Award for the best Production ($1000. offered by the National Film Board of Canada):
"METZERGENSTEIN" by Eric Plummer (Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto)
for its experimentation, audacity, originality, daring, and unwillingness to recognize the boundaries of cinema in the spirit of Norman McLaren.

Kodak Canada Grand Prix for the Best New Canadian Director (value of $5,000. in products for his next production):
"INFINITY" by Guillaume Fortin (UQAM, Montreal)

Best Fiction production:
"INFINITY" by Guillaume Fortin (UQAM, Montreal)

Best Animation production:
"MONSIEUR GEORGE ET MONSIEUR GEORGE" by Brigitte Archambault (Concordia University, Montreal)

Best Documentary production:
"CONFLICT" by Elad Winkler (Ryerson University, Toronto)

Best Experimental production:
"LOVE IN THE ELEVATOR" by Hsu Jung-Jung (Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto)

Best Achievement in Sound Design:
"LUCID" directed by Geoffrey Pugen, sound by Geoffrey Pugen (Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto)

Best Achievement in Editing:
"INFINITY" --> directed by Guillaume Fortin, editing by Stephane Lafleur (UQAM, Montreal)

Best Achievement in Cinematography:
"CONTRETEMPS" directed by Kyril Dubé, cinematography by Marc-André Lapierre (Université de Montréal)

Best Achievement in screenwriting:
"HIVERNAM" directed by Pascal Robitaille, screenwriting and dialogues by Pascal Robitaille and Guillaume Loignon (Cegep de Saint-Hyacinthe)
