Synopsis
Maria lives with her daughter Teresa only a few kilometres from the border between Chile and Argentina. Ten years have passed since the last time Maria worked as a seasonal worker. This season, she decided to do the job again in order to save enough money and go to live with her brother in the capital. Not knowing that she will face her unresolved past. On her arrival she realizes that the contractor in charge is Raul, who is the father of her daughter and was the reason she decided to never come back again.
Director
Sergio Castro San Martín is one of the new voices of Chilean cinema. In 2009 he wrote and directed his thesis film THE WALK, shown in several film festivals. THE MUD WOMAN won the Hubert Bals Fund and was shown at the Berlin Festival this year.
