The Montreal World Film Festival in 10 days!
Montreal, Aug. 11, 2014 – Movie lovers in Montreal can now get their passport to the real world of cinema. The Montreal World Film Festival will take place from August 21to September 1,2014with a selection of films of quality that reflects the event’s name – works from every corner of the globe, from veteran filmmakers to exciting new talents who are just being discovered. The films, from all backgrounds and cultures, are either in English or French or subtitled in at least one of these languages.
The passes and packages, now available, include the following:
Passport ($100)
• access to all films, a choice of 750 to 800 screenings (except for opening and closing nights with reserved seats and press screenings);
• the right to vote for all audience awards;
• a $10 discount on the price of the official catalogue;
• a $5 discount on the price of the official poster.
Cinephile Pass ($250)
• access to all films, a choice of 750 to 800 screenings (except for opening and closing nights with reserved seats and press screenings);
• the right to vote for all audience awards;
• free official catalogue;
• free official poster;
• entry to all films simultaneous with holders of individual tickets.
Prestige Membership ($750)
• priority admission to all films;
• transferable to family or friends;
• invitation to screenings of opening and closing night films;
• invitation to ceremonies and receptions of opening and closing nights… along with all celebrities, filmmakers and other official guests of the Festival;
• Festival bag containing official catalogue, along with the official poster and all Festival artefacts such as pen, cup, t-shirt, etc., and, upon request, a laminated poster of the 38th Montreal World Film Festival.

The Passports and Cinephile Passes can be retrieved at the Montreal World Film Festival offices, 1432 rue de Bleury, 4th floor, during office hours. Prestige Memberships will be home delivered.
Booklets and individual tickets on sale August 16 at noon
The Montreal World Film Festival makes national and international movies accessible to everyone. Booklets of tickets and individual tickets will also be on sale August 16 to 21, noon to 7 pm, at the Cinéma Impérial and at the Cinéma du Quartier Latin.
Individual tickets are available at $10 each, while booklets of 10 tickets are available at $70 (a 30% saving). Coupons may be exchanged for individual tickets beginning August 16 from noon August 16.
As well, moviegoers may purchase tickets from the Admission site (admission.com) beginning August 22.
Tickets for opening and closing nights are invitation only or for holders of Prestige Memberships.
This year, screenings will take place in two venues:
Cinéma Impérial: 1430, rue de Bleury (Métro Place des Arts)
Cinéma du Quartier Latin (9 theatres): 350, rue Émery (Métro Berri-UQAM)
