Pierre Philippe Born in Paris in 1931, Pierre Philippe worked as a press attach� at the Journ�es du Cin�ma from 1956 to 1967 while organizing the Tours (short films) and Annecy (animation) festivals. He worked as a film journalist from 1957 to 1970, primarily for Cin�ma magazine. He directed numerous television programs, wrote screenplays, worked for the Gaumont Cin�math�que -- for which he restored Feuillade's FANTOMAS -- and produced and directed theatre and opera. He is the author of a novel, La passion selon Peter (1987). His filmography includes: La Bonne Dame (1968), La Photographie dans le boudoir (1968), MIDI-MINUIT (1969), Angkor, la gloire et l'oubli (1984), Mille et une marguerites (1986), Bordeaux, le cin�ma pour m�moire (1987), Notre si�cle (TV series, 1998-1991), Le Roman du Music-Hall (1992) and Les Enfants de Lumi�re (1995). |
