I KNOW WHO YOU ARE / JE SAIS QUI TU ES
When Paloma, a young psychiatrist, assumes the directorship of a clinic in Galicia, she meets a patient who immediately attracts her attention. Mario is suffering from the Korsakov syndrome, a severe form of amnesia. Both his short-term and long-term memory are impaired. As well, he has a completely distorted sense of time. Whenever Paloma sees Mario, she feels that she isn't just encountering a clinical case study but that she is dealing with a profoundly interesting human being. Fascinated, she begins to investigate Mario's past and during the course of their conversations, their relationship grows increasingly personal. Mario has the capacity to make Paloma laugh and cry. He can also frighten her, though she feels completely safe in his presence. But deep in Mario's lost memory lies a past that could well prove dangerous for both of them, for Mario was involved in dubious political events which many people would be loathe to have uncovered.

Patricia Ferreira
Madrid native Patricia Ferreira studied journalism and communications and began her professional career as a film critic and journalist for the electronic and written press in Spain. In 1978 she began working as an assistant director, director and producer, mainly on documentaries for television. Among her directing credits: Tiempos modernos (1985), Al otro lado del silencio (1991), El Para�so (1992), El reino de la luz (1994) and Lejos del mar (1995).
