Rumpy, an eccentric young talk show host is the star of Chilean radio. His El chacotero sentimental program is all the rage in Santiago. People call Rumpy to tell him about their problems in love and life and he tries to guide them candidly but with humour and understanding. The film focusses on three callers. In Patas Negras, a provincial university student relates how he encountered a girl living in his boarding house and began a secret affair with her. But he was in for a surprise. In Secretos, a young female student discovers a family secret which reminds her of one of her childhood games: hiding in the closet and spying on people. In Todo es cancha, a young couple find that circumstances prevent them from having sexual relations. Are they aware that many of the people who live in their lower class neighbourhood have exactly the same problem? |

Cristi�n Galaz Born in 1958, Cristi�n Galaz studied philosophy at the University of Chile. In 1986 he began making documentaries for Telean�lisis, a TV newsmagazine of which he served as editor. In 1990 he co-founded the television and film production house Nueva Imagen, for which he directed numerous videos, and a year later he started Cebra Producciones, specializing in commercials. He directed a medium-length film, Hay un hombre en la luna, in 1993. THE SENTIMENTAL TEASER is his first feature. |
