In order to forget Matina, his old flame, Antoine throws himself into his writing, working feverishly to finish his second novel. Since their break-up the previous year, he hasn't been able to lead a normal life and he had nothing but a series of dead-end affairs. One day, in desperation, he decides to try renewing his relationship with Matina by meeting her when she gets out from work. Before he can reach her, however, he is nearly run over by Charlotte... who gives him a ride home. Unlike Antoine, Charlotte is a together person. She has her own boutique and lives happily with her husband and child. But her life changes dramatically when she begins an affair with Antoine. And into their lives and destiny enters lisabeth, a young prostitute who believes she can retain her independence. |
