THE TRAVELLER / LE PASSAGER Qassem Julayi, a young soccer fanatic who lives with his family in the village of Malayer, prefers street games to homework. He arrives at school late and can't stop discussing soccer even in his classes. When he hears that the national team will be playing an important match in Tehran, Qassem stops at nothing to attend. But, after skimming from his parents, swindling schoolmates and orchestrating a fire sale of his own teammates' equipment to get money for the trip, Qassem's unheroic quest ends in poetic justice thanks to a final ironic twist.
