Gwen, 15, lives in Brittany in a small, wind-swept fishing village. She has a fiery temperament but also a carefree attitude appropriate to her age. Boys come and go in her life like the tides. Lise grew up in the Paris suburbs in a family of females abandoned long ago by the father. When she learns of his accidental death, she feels she must find breathing space. She decides she'll find it with Gwen in Brittany. When Gwen and Lise get together that summer, they'd like to believe that nothing has changed, that they will be friends till death do us part, just like it was during their childhood. But adolescence is cruel; it can sometimes be devastating... |
