Prague, 1996. The stories are true, the characters exist and the locations are real. Sixteen-year old Marek sleeps with the face of an angel on a train moving through the peaceful countryside towards Prague. He has just participated in the robbery of a clothing shop in a small town and the stolen jacket he's wearing still has its price tag attached. Yearning to escape poverty, the dreariness of small-town life, and his overbearing father, Marek is headed to the bright lights of the big city. This time Marek is ready to hear Honza's pitch of the good life in exchange for "companionship". Despite Honza's assurances, Marek's drink is drugged and he awakes to find himself raped and bloody. Frightened, Marek takes his money and heads for a bar where Honza comes to collect his fee, promising him more money and a place to stay. At the flat of his second client Marek meets David, a veteran hustler who displays a certain independence. David chooses Marek as his sidekick...
