Dir.: Sabu Born in Japan in 1964, Sabu began his professional career as a musician and singer before switching to acting. He starred in Katsuhiro Otomo's WORLD APARTMENT HORROR (a performance which won him the Best New Actor of the Year award at the Yokohama Festival). Sabu made his directorial debut last year with D.A.N.G.A.N. RUNNER and promptly earned the Yokohama Festival's Best New Director award. |

Until now, Sawaki, a postman, has lived a quiet, even boring life. One day, making his daily rounds, he runs into Noguchi, an old friend who has become a drug dealer on the lam from the police. Now Sawaki's life has been turned upside down. First, Noguchi sneaks a package of drugs into Sawaki's bag and Noguchi's finger, which he had severed in "yakuza" (Japanese gangster) tradition to atone for a botched job, also falls into the mailbag. That evening, Sawaki starts opening the letters he was supposed to deliver. When he reads a letter from a girl named Sayoko, dying of cancer he rushes to her bedside where he is befriended by a professional hit man, Joe.
