How do we communicate when there is so much keeping us apart? FOUR EGYPTIAN WOMEN attempts an answer to this current and very topical question. Amina, Safynaz, Shahenda and Wedad, the four friends of the title, love their country and are pursuing the same goal of human dignity and social justice. But each adopts different means and different strategy. Muslim , Christian or non-religious, their choices range from a secular or socialist country to an Islamic state. But the four women refuse to demonize each other, or hold each other in contempt. They listen to each other's arguments and disagree without ever breaking the bond that unites them. They argue and they laugh together. Deeply committed, they refuse to give on their hopes.
