Dir.: Tony Spiridakis

A budding actor, Tony Spiridakis decided to create his own vehicles by writing them. In 1991 he wrote, produced and acted in QUEENS LOGIC in 1991 (the film starred John Malkovich, Kevin Bacon, Joe Mantegna and Linda Fiorentino). He continued to write scripts for stage and screen and in 1995 adapted his own play "The Last Word", and directed it for Showtime's Original Drama Series with Timothy Hutton in the starring role. In 1996 he co-wrote IF LUCY FELL (directed by Eric Schaeffer).

It's Christmas Eve in Hollywood and the red-wigged "Costume Killer", L.A.'s latest serial killer, isn't on holiday; that night, just near the bus station, he asphyxiates his fifth victim with a plastic bag. In the bus station, oblivious to the murder, Max and Tiger, would-be filmmakers from New York, are without money or work. Tiger, the "writer" of the pair, wants to take the bus back east, but Max, the "idea man", wants them to stay one more day for a last chance meeting with a potential backer. The trouble is they have no place to stay. They've wasted all their money on hotels and restaurants, going for broke and getting there. Max has an idea: break into the self storage warehouse where Tiger has some stuff and spend the night there. At the warehouse they discover they're not the only ones with the same idea. In fact there's an entire colony of artist-squatters living in the place and the "residents" don't take kindly to interlopers. Tiger and Max are saved by Cliff, the warehouse's sympathetic janitor (Tiger worked briefly as a janitor back in New Jersey and janitors stick together) and they survive to make their pitch in the morning. Arnie, an agent-turned-producer, claims to have financing but he needs something "fresh" from Tiger and Max. The two would-be cineastes spend the rest of the holidays in storage trying to come up with "fresh" movie ideas. That's when they stumble on what appears to be the lair of the "Costume Killer". Cliff's the one! But that's when Max has another idea. Instead of turning him in, why not get an option on Cliff's own story?
