Josef Bertholt is the diligent head of the Munich police department's drug squad. When dealers make an attempt on the life of his wife Lily, he becomes even more obsessed by his work. The situation gets to be too much for his 18-year-old son Robin, who disappears after a fight with his father and ends up in the same circles the police are investigating. The pressure on Bertholt escalates. His superiors threatens to take the case away from him. His wife, whose condition initially seemed to be improving, relapses into a coma. Robin seems to be sinking deeper into a quagmire of drugs and series of murders among the suspects makes things even more complicated. The deceased all display the same telltale, puncture-like scar. The murderer soon earns the nickname "Scorpion" among Bertholt's colleagues. It appears obvious that a number of witnesses are being eliminated. Robin's situation worsens and the pressure on Berthold becomes increasingly unbearable. Father and son drift further and further apart... |
