Suzy, the brash and rebellious lead singer of an all-girl band, Jimmy, the idealistic writer of a Seattle "zine", and Shelly, an emotionally charged rock guitarist, form the three corners of this romantic triangle, '90s grunge style. Before joining the No Exits group, Shelly had abruptly broken up with Jimmy without ever telling him that she was raped by his best friend. Putting the past behind her (or so she thinks), Shelly enters into an intense relationship with the band's leader, Suzy. But a chance meeting with Jimmy stirs up some old feelings. Confused by her renewed attraction to her ex and disturbed by Suzy's increasing possessiveness, Shelly and Jimmy grow closer. But when Suzy sees Shelly and Jimmy together, she angrily throws Shelly out of the house and out of the band -- just as they seem on the verge of getting a recording deal. Eventually Shelly begins to realize that neither Jimmy nor Suzy has the answers she's looking for. She'll have to find them herself. |
