Rómer is celebrating his 50th birthday when he receives an old photograph as a present. This inspires a bout of nostalgia and causes him to have a strange dream from which he awakes with the premonition of the death of his mother, whom he hasn't seen in years. Prompted by the memories, Rómer returns to the magnificent Venezuelan Andes where he grew up until his parents made a sudden decision which forced his separation from them. As he climbs higher, he comes to a fork in the road which leads him to a highly emotional silent encounter. Memories of the past wash over him in waves and keep pushing him up against the shores of a forgotten time. |
