Dir.: Co Hoedeman

Born in Amsterdam in 1940, Co Hoedeman joined the National Film Board of Canda in 1965 and has since become one of Canada's best known animators, his films winning prizes around the world, inmcluding an Oscar, in 1978, for "The Sand Castle". His filmography includes: "Continental Drift" (1968), "Oddball" (1969), "Matrioska" (1970), "Tchou-Tchou" (1972), "The Treasure of the Grotoceans" (1980), "Masquerade" (1984), "Charles and François" (1987), "The Box" (1989) and "The Sniffing Bear" (1992).

Plants and animals are living together peacefully in a large garden until, one night, predators attack and ravage the environment, stealing food and destroying vegetation. The garden they leave behind in uninhabitable. To re-establish the balance in their ecosystem, our friends are forced into a war whose outcome is uncertain.
