Hannah, an ambitious young Viennese public relations specialist, has just got the job she coveted for a long time, marketing director at the Hochstedt Toy Company. At Hochstedt she catches the eye of Wolfgang, the firm's executive director, and it isn't long before their relationship extends beyond office hours. Things are going well for Hannah. Then one day, while working on a new photographic layout, she discovers a deadly secret behind the cuddly dolls and teddy bears Hochstedt manufactures. Uncertain what to do, Hannah confides in a old friend who is a journalist. Her friend launches his own investigation and before long they are both ensnared in a political intrigue that eventually costs the reporter his life. Hannah and Wolfgang are caught on the cusp between love and hate and their relationship is threatened by the vast right-wing conspiracy that engulfs the toy manufacturer. Wolfgang must choose between dynastic allegiance and his love for Hannah... "A timeless theme... a political thriller with passion." -- Neue Zeit (Vienna)
