Dir.: Alain Zaloum

Born in Montreal in 1961, Alain Zaloum's interest in filmmaking began at a very early age when he first picked up a Super 8 camera. His love of cinema led him to various movie industry jobs including that of youngest theatre manager in the Odeon chain. He enrolled in film studies at the University of Southern California, intending to become a director of photography but, encouraged by writer Norman Corwin, he shifted his focus to writing and directing. After earning his BA in film/TV production, Zaloum went on to direct and co-produce 32 episodes of "The Painted House" for WTN and Paragon. He has directed the features, SINS OF SEDUCTION (1989) and CANVAS (1992).

Private detective Jack Ramsey is hired to follow Isabelle, the beautiful but unfaithful wife of lumber tycoon Richard Whitmore. When her lover, Kevin, is found murdered, Jack suspects it's Richard's doing. But money has a way of influencing people and Jack is persuaded to focus his investigation on the radical Vic Mulvey, who was trying to extort money from Whitmore's company. As Jack works the case, he continues to run into Isabelle and before he can do anything about it, they begin an affair. Then Richard, too, turns up dead. Jack decides to dig deeper and he is joined in the task by his friend Louis Delvecchio, a detective in the homicide division. The body count grows along with the list of suspects and Jack soon finds himself on it. For Jack now it's not just solving a mystery, it's saving his own skin.
