Luiza, an architect and Gabriel, a biologist, meet by chance and fall in love. As their relationship develops, they begin to question the nature of their feelings. The film offers a poetic-humorous chronicle of their affair, using the dictionary as a roadmap. We follow the couple from attraction through separation, stopping, alphabetically, at "anatomy", "coincidences", "games", "happiness", "idylls", "nightmares", "promises" and "revenge" and so on -- a veritable ABC of love. "God wanted silence. When Adam and Ever began to talk, they were ordered to leave Paradise... Animals are more obedient, loving in silence and reproducing according to God's orders. Humans, condemned to eternal doubt, wander across the planet in search of 'love'... The idea behind LITTLE BOOK OF LOVE is to contrast animal sex with human love. It is essentially language that differentiates the two. And there's nothing better than a dictionary to arrange the words that reflect the feelings between men and women". -- Sandra Werneck
