section: Developed with the close collaboration of the professionals of Quebec film and television, INIS is unique in North America, the only Francophone school specializing in practical training for television and cinema. The goal of INIS is to realise the talent, the creativity and professional skills of its students. Teaching and training is done exclusively under the supervision of film and television professionals, which provides the student with an informed introduction to the realities of the industry. During the eighteen months of training, each student gets to make one documentary, television serial and fiction short. INIS is pleased to present the productions of its first graduates within the framework of the Montreal World Film Festival. The program comprises seven fiction shorts whose maximum length is twelve minutes. Limits on the production of these films include two days of shooting and five days of editing for both visuals and sound. Also in the program are six documentaries written and directed by new students. These films must take the form of "portraits", each seven minutes long and shot in a single day. INIS would like to use this occasion to thank everyone who helped to realise these productions. |
