J U R Y

ALISSA SIMON
Alissa Simon is associate director of programming at the Film Center of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a cinematheque presenting over 500 programs per year. Before coming to the Film Center in 1988, she was assistant curator in the Film Department at the International Museum of Photography at the George Eastman House and film coordinator at the Walker Art Center.

SERGE DUSSAULT
After graduating from the �cole des beaux-arts of Montreal, Serge Dussault began his long journalistic career in 1952. He studied film for three years under Henri Langlois at Concordia University and in 1973 he became film critic at Montreal’s La Presse newspaper. He served as a juror at several international film festivals, including the Tours Festival in France.

RON HOLLOWAY
Born in 1933, Ron Holloway studied at the universities of Chicago and Hamburg, Germany. He is the author of four books on film history, "Beyond the Image", "Z is for Zagreb", "O is for Obsession" and "The Bulgarian Cinema", as well contributing to several film anthologies. He directed four documentaries for British and German TV ("Parajanov" was shown at the 1994 Montreal World Film Festival) and publishes the German film quarterly, Kino.
