This film recounts the last ten years of the life of Arthur Rimbaud, after he had stopped writing poetry and had come to seek his fortune in Africa.
Marc Rivière est né en 1950 à Saint-Mandé (France). Diplômé de l'École supérieure de télévision en 1972, il enseigne le cinéma à la faculté de Censier depuis 1986. De 1974 à 1986, il travaille comme assistant-réalisateur et signe en 1988 son premier long métrage pour le cinéma, LE CRIME D'ANTOINE. Pour la télévision, il a réalisé MARIAGE MORTEL (1990), LES BAINS DE JOUVENCE (1991), LA RÈGLE DU SILENCE (1993), L'ÉTÉ DE ZORA (1993), LE LIÈVRE DE VATANEN (1994) et SIDE CAR (1995).
Marc Rivière was born in Saint-Mandé, France in 1950 and earned his diploma from the École supérieure de télévision in 1972. Since 1986 he has taught film at the University of Censier. Rivière made his directorial debut in 1988 with LE CRIME D'ANTOINE. For television he has directed MARIAGE MORTEL (1990), LES BAINS DE JOUVENCE (1991), LA RÈGLE DU SILENCE (1993), L'ÉTÉ DE ZORA (1993), LE LIÈVRE DE VATANEN (1994) and SIDE CAR (1995).
