Forty years of Vietnamese history, from 1945 to 1985, which mark the respective journeys of two feuding brothers separated by communism and a sister, a former royal concubine turned Buddhist nun. Myriad events and myriad excuses to talk about Zen and to film movement and tranquility, turmoil and serenity.
Né à Hanoï en 1949, Hô Quang Minh étudie au Lycée français de Saigon. Après ses études au Vietnam, il se rend en Suisse, se fait naturaliser et fréquente l'Institut fédéral polytechnique où il obtient un doctorat. Hô Quang Minh étudie également à Paris. Avant de réaliser GATE, GATE, PARAGATE, il signe KARMA (1985) et WHITE PAGE (1991).
Born in Hanoi in 1949, Hô Quang Minh studied at the French lycée in Saigon and earned a doctorate at the Swiss Federal Polytechnic Institute (he is a naturalized Swiss citizen). Minh attended film school in Paris and made his first feature film, KARMA, in 1985. He directed WHITE PAGE in 1991.
