Un homme convoque ses trois enfants et leur demande de venir s'installer chez lui parce qu'il a la ferme intention d'aller vivre en Amérique. Bien que consentants à cette étrange requête, Assen, Christo et Alexandre vont tenter d'en savoir plus long sur les raisons qui ont poussé leur père à prendre une telle décision. Mais au cours de leur enquête, ils se rendent compte du vide de leur propre existence. Mais voici que Maria, leur belle-mère, leur annonce que son mari n'a pas quitté le pays, et qu'il se trouve plutôt dans un endroit retiré à la campagne. Lorsque les trois frères vont rendre visite à leur père, ils apprendront que celui-ci a décidé de s'exiler parce qu'il ne se sentait plus utile à la société. | THUNDERING STONES
Dr. Obreshov's wife has died and he has now taken up with another woman. One day he summons his three grown sons and informs them that he is moving to America and they can come to stay in his apartment. Assen, Christo and Alexander are strangers in their father's home but they obey his wishes and move in. They begin to talk and it soon becomes clear that each of them has personal problems and is in need of emotional support. Then, one day, Maria, Obreshov's second wife, pays them a surprise visit. It seems the old man hasn't emigrated to America after all, but is living in a small house in the country... |
| Né en 1957, Ivan Tcherkelov étudie la réalisation à l'Académie nationale d'art dramatique Krustyo Sarafov. Ses films sont: BALLAD (1981) et SCRAPS OF LOVE (1988). Il a également signé le scénario de THE STORK (1990).
