LE PIÈGE

Des meurtres mystérieux ont été commis à Yokohama. Jusqu'à présent, les victimes sont toutes de belles jeunes femmes aux cheveux longs, vêtues de robes indetiques. C'est Maiku Hama qui se charge de l'enquête. Lorsqu'il apprend que sa petite copine Yuriko a été agressée par un homme portant un masque noir, il s'empresse de l'aider et arrive juste à temps à la sauver. Mais deux jours plus tard, un autre crime a lieu. Et cette fois-ci, ce sont les empreintes de Maiku que l'on retrouve sur le corps de la victime. Le soupçonnant d'être coupable, la police émet un mandat d'arrêt contre lui. Comment parviendra-t-il à prouver qu'il est innocent? Mais l'est-il vraiment? 		THE TRAP

There has been a mysterious series of killings in Yokohama. The three victims to date have all been beautiful young women with long hair, their bodies found with full make-up and wearing identical flower print dresses. The Kanagawa Prefecture police have set up a special squad to investigate. Yuriko, the girlfriend of private detective Maiku Hama, is attacked by a man in a black mask and Maiku rescues her in the nick of time. But a couple of days later another murder is committed and Maiku's fingerprints are found on the body. The police suspect him of being the serial killer and put out a warrant for his arrest. Maiku realizes that he has been framed. He enlists his detective friends in a desperate effort to prove his innocence.
Né à Kyoto (Japon) en 1957, Kaizo Hayashi a fait des films à Tokyo. Parmi ses réalisations, on compte "Asian Beat", production télévisée franco-nippo-américaine en six <\n>parties qu'il a lui-même conçue et produite. LE PIÈGE constitue la troisième partie de la trilogie de Maiku Hama. Les deux premières s'intitulaient THE MOST TERRIBLE TIME IN MY LIFE et STAIRWAY TO THE DISTANT PAST.
Born in Kyoto, Japan in 1957, Kaizo Hayashi directed and produced his first feature, I WANT TO SLEEP SO THAT I'LL DREAM , in 1985 and won several prizes in Japan for it. He has written scripts for several films and produced a six-part television mini-series entitled "Asian Beat". He has also directed A BOY'S PRIMER FOR THE 20TH CENTURY, ZIPZANG, MAN OF THE MOON (1991) and the two previous parts of the Maiku Hama private eye trilogy: THE MOST TERRIBLE TIME OF MY LIFE and STAIRWAY TO THE DISTANT PAST.
