Chloé est bien embêtée. Elle va partir en vacances et elle ne sait pas quoi faire de Gris-Gris, son chat qui n'est pas gris, mais noir. Difficile de se séparer d'une bête qui partage sa vie depuis un certain temps déjà. Et, pire encore, le garçon avec qui elle partage son appartement refuse de s'en occuper. Alors, que faire? On l'informe qu'il y a toujours Madame Renée. Madame Renée est une retraitée qui a l'habitude recueillir les chats. Mais Gris-Gris va quand même trouver le moyen de disparaître et Chloé va partir à sa recherche dans tout le quartier. En s'aidant justement des habitants du quartier. Chloé is in a bit of a bind. She's about to leave on vacation and doesn't know what to do with her black cat, Gris-Gris. The guy with whom she shares her apartment wants nothing to do with the cat. In the end, Gris-Gris is lodged with Madame Renée, a retiree who has a habit of taking in cats. But at Madame Renée's, Gris-Gris goes missing. So Chloé must scour the neighborhood to find him. It's a chance to meet a lot of interesting new people... |
| Après avoir été deux fois refusé à l'IDHEC à Paris, Cédric Klapisch est allé prendre des cours à New York et l'expérience (deux ans) lui a été plus qu'enrichissante. Il a réalisé IN TRANSIT (1987), RIENS DU TOUT (1992), LE PÉRIL JEUNE (1995) et UN AIR DE FAMILLE (1996, présenté en compétition cette année au Festival des films du monde). Il est l'auteur d'un épisode d'une minute de LUMIÈRE ET COMPAGNIE (1995), tourné avec la caméra Lumière.
| Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France in 1961, Cédric Klapisch studied philosophy and film in Paris and then at New York University. He worked as a cameraman, directed shorts in the United States 1983-85 and returned to France to make his first feature, IN TRANSIT, in 1986. He has since directed RIENS DU TOUT (1992), LE PÉRIL JEUNE (1995) and UN AIR DE FAMILLE (1996, presented in competition in this year's World Film Festival).
