In the seaside town of Dinard, during the summer holidays, Gaspard is waiting for Léna. He meets Margot, an ethnology student who's working as a restaurant waitress to earn a bit of money. Margot takes him to a discothèque where he meets Solène. Léna finally arrives in Dinard. Gaspard has some decisions to make. |
| Né en 1920 à Nancy, Éric Rohmer a été rédacteur en chef des "Cahiers du cinéma" de 1957 à 1963. Après LE SIGNE DU LION (1959), son oeuvre s'organise en trois cycles, les "Six Contes moraux", les "Comédies et Proverbes" et les "Contes des quatre saisons". Les "Six Contes moraux" sont: "La Boulangère de Monceau" (1962), "La Carrière de Suzanne" (1963), LA COLLECTIONNEUSE (1967), MA NUIT CHEZ MAUD (1969), LE GENOU DE CLAIRE (1970) et L'AMOUR L'APRÈS-MIDI (1972). Les "Comédies et Proverbes" sont: LA FEMME DE L'AVIATEUR (1981), LE BEAU MARIAGE (1982), PAULINE À LA PLAGE (1983), LES NUITS DE LA PLEINE LUNE (1984), LE RAYON VERT (1985) et L'AMI DE MON AMIE (1987). Les "Contes des quatre saisons" sont jusqu'ici: CONTE DE PRINTEMPS (1989) et CONTE D'HIVER (1991). | Born Maurice Scherer in Nancy, France in 1920, Éric Rohmer began his professional film career on the other side of the camera, as a critic, particularly for the Cahiers du cinéma. After a series of shorts in the '50s, Rohmer made his first feature, LE SIGNE DU LION, in 1959 <\n>(though it was only released in 1962). But it was with his "Six Moral Tales" in the '60s that Rohmer established his reputation as the wry observer of contemporary French manners. Among his better known films are: MY NIGHT AT MAUD'S (1969), CLAIRE'S KNEE (1970), CHLOE IN THE AFTERNOON (1972), THE MARQUISE OF O (1975), PAULINE AT THE BEACH (1982), MY GIRLFRIEND'S BOYFRIEND (1987), A TALE OF SPRINGTIME (1989), A TALE OF WINTERTIME (1991) and LES RENDEZ-VOUS DE PARIS (1995).
