L'officier allemand de cavalerie Johann Frantsevich Hertz a balafré le visage de plusieurs "Russes blancs" sans aucune pitié. Il s'est toujours battu avec grand courage. Mais une fois la paix revenue, il ne tient pas à risquer sa vie pour le bonheur de l'humanité. Il est farouchement opposé au NEP et à la prostitution. En fait, Hertz s'acharne contre tout et contre tous jusqu'à ce qu'il rencontre Klavdia, le grand amour de sa vie. Il en tombe amoureux, éprouvant pour elle la même passion qu'il a pour la révolution. Mais plusieurs choses les empêcheront d'être heureux: la femme "fictive" de Hertz, le secrétaire du comité du Parti communiste d'Odessa, un sac plein de graines de tournesol frites... et Eisenstein, jusqu'ici, inconnu des habitants de la ville. Ce film a été produit en hommage aux 100 ans du cinéma, à ses vedettes, mais aussi à ses échecs. 		RETURN OF THE BATTLESHIP

Dashing German cavalry officer Johann Frantsevich Hertz loved the Revolution and fought to defend it in wartime - against the "White Russians" - and in peace - against the NEP, against prostitution, against anybody and anything that he thought a threat to its success. Then he fell in love with Klavdia and he threw himself into his affair with her with the same passion as he had previously shown for revolution. But many things emerged to prevent their happiness: Hertz's fictitious wife, the secretary of the Odessa Communist Party, a bag of fried sunflower seeds, and an Eisenstein unknown to the inhabitants of Odessa.
Né en 1930, Gennadi Poloka a étudié à l'École de théâtre M. Shchepkin et à la célèbre école russe de cinéma VGIK. Born in Kuibyshev in 1930, Gennadi Poloka studied at the Schepkin Theatre School and graduated in directing from VGIK in Moscow. He has directed shorts, documentaries and features for television and the cinema.
