LUNE et l'autre

En 1955, la vie à Milan est simple et agréable, et l'arrivée du Cirque Panforti, avec en vedette Igor et sa lampe magique, ne fait que la rendre encore plus excitante. Tout le monde est content, sauf Luna. Elle est maîtresse d'école et vit avec son père, un vieux Napolitain qui a la nostalgie du soleil radieux du sud de l'Italie. Luna est entièrement dévouée à ses élèves et son travail la tient très occupée. C'est pour cela qu'elle n'a pas le temps de remarquer que le gardien de l'école, Angelo Franchini, est follement amoureux d'elle depuis plusieurs années. L'existence de Luna est si peu mouvementée que même son ombre, sa plus fidèle amie depuis trente ans, commence à se dresser contre elle. Mais quelque chose de merveilleux va se produire dans sa vie grâce au pouvoir extraordinaire d'Igor, le magicien du cirque ambulant qui vient de s'installer en ville. 		LUNA e l'altra

This is the story of Luna di Capua and her shadow. It takes place in 1955 in Milan where Luna, a dedicated school teacher, lives with her father, an elderly Neapolitan who misses the sunny south. The Panforti Circus starring Igor and his magic lantern has come to town but Luna is too busy taking care of her father and teaching her students to notice. Nor does she notice that Angelo, the school janitor, has been pining for her for years. But Luna's shadow has noticed. After serving her faithfully for thirty years, it has grown rebellious. One stormy night, with the help of Igor's lantern, Luna's shadow manages to break free and assume an independent existence. Things will never again be the same for Luna.
Né à Milan, Maurizio Nichetti suit des cours de mime et travaille au Théâtre Piccolo de Milan parallèlement à ses études d'architecture. De 1971 à 1978, il écrit des scénarios pour les films de Bruno Bozzetto. Il a réalisé vingt-quatre courts métrages pour la RAI. Souvent comédien, il est surtout connu pour les longs métrages qu'il a écrits et réalisés et où il tient, comme il se doit, le rôle principal: RATATAPLAN (1979), HO FATTO SPLASH (1980), DOMANI SI <\n>BALLA (1982), LE VOLEUR DE SAVONETTE (1988), VOLERE VOLARE (L'Amour avec des gants) (1991), STEFANO QUANTESTORIE (1993) et PALLA DI NEVE (1994).
Maurizio Nichetti studied mime but graduated in architecture in 1975. After working as a writer for animator Bruno Bozzetto from 1971 to 1978, Nichetti directed 24 short films for RAI, the Italian television network. He wrote, directed and acted in his first feature, RATATAPLAN, in 1979. He subsequently wrote, directed and acted in <\n>HO FATTO SPLASH (1980) and DOMANI SI BALLA (1982) before writing and hosting "Pista!" for RAI (1986-87). He returned to features by writing, directing and acting in THE ICICLE THIEF (1988). He has since directed VOLERE VOLARE (1991), STEFANO QUANTESTORIE (1993) and PALLA DI NEVE (1994).
