À l'aéroport de Moscou, Philippe attend son avion pour Paris. Une femme russe très séduisante l'accoste et lui propose une visite impromptue du "vrai" Moscou. Philippe quitte l'aéroport vers l'inconnu. De bars en boîtes, de vodka en champagne, il ne résiste pas aux charmes d'Oksana quand soudain, la jeune femme glisse une pilule dans son verre. Il s'effondre... À son réveil, Philippe réalise qu'il a été choisi par les hommes de la maffia russe pour être l'acteur essentiel de leur prochaine escroquerie. 		LIFE IN RED

Having missed his plane in Bombay, Philippe Robin is now waiting in transit at the Moscow Airport for a connecting flight to Paris. A very attractive young Russian woman approaches him and proposes an impromptu visit to the "real Moscow". Philippe accepts and leaves the airport to destinations unknown. Led by the seductive Oksana, and fuelled by vodka and champagne, Philippe visits a succession of bars and clubs. Then, unnoticed by Philippe, Oksana slips something into his drink. He passes out. When he regains consciousness, Philippe discovers that he has been selected by the Russian Mafia to play the starring role in their latest criminal production.
Né à Moscou en 1949 d'un père scénariste et d'une mère traductrice, Pavel Lounguine est, depuis 1975, auteur de nombreux scénarios dont une dizaine ont été portés à l'écran. Sa filmographie comprend: TAXI BLUES (1990) et LUNA PARK (1992), tous deux présentés au Festival des films du monde.
Born in Moscow in 1949, Pavel Lounguine studied mathematics and linguistics at the University of Moscow before obtaining his screenwriting diploma in 1978. He has written over a dozen scripts for film and television. He made his auspicious directing debut in 1990 with TAXI BLUES, which won numerous festival prizes and critical plaudits around the world. In 1992 he directed LUNA PARK. Both his previous films were shown at the World Film Festival.
