La veuve Mildred a décidé de changer de vie. Ses enfants sont déjà grands et se débrouillent tout seuls. Mildred is a widow who decides to take another turn at life. Her children are grown and finally living on their own. Now the only people who need her are the neighbors, Monica and her six-year-old son J.J. Caring for J.J. while his mother works a split shift, Mildred develops a special bond with the child, filling in the vacancies in both their lives. But once J.J.'s family gets back on track, she realizes that she has given him all she can and decides to start giving to herself. Directing her own life for the first time, she leads herself to a place she has never before imagined. |
| Fils du célèbre cinéaste et comédien John Cassavetes et de l'actrice Gena Rowlands, Nick Cassavetes a étudié à l'Académie américaine de théâtre. Également comédien, on le voit <\n>notamment dans MASK de Peter Bogdanovich, THE DOORS d'Oliver Stone et MRS. PARKER AND THE VICIOUS CIRCLE d'Alan Rudolph, ainsi que dans des téléséries telles que "L.A. Law" et "Quantum Leap". UNHOOK THE STARS est son premier long métrage à titre de réalisateur.
| The son of the actor-director John Cassavettes and actress Gena Rowlands, Nick Cassavettes was trained as an actor at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Among his more recent screen credits are roles in Alan Rudolph's MRS. PARKER AND THE VICIOUS CIRCLE, Oliver Stone's THE DOORS and Peter Bogdanovich's MASK. Cassavettes has also appeared in such television shows as "L.A. Law", "Quantum Leap" and "Shannon's Deal". UNHOOK THE STARS marks his directorial debut.
