Jean-Pierre (photographe) et Marc (écrivain en puissance) ont entrepris un projet d'envergure. Pendant un an, le premier photographiera chaque jour à la même heure un coin de rue particulier, tandis que Marc rédigera un texte romanesque inspiré par ces photos. Mais l'inconstance de Jean-Pierre risque de mettre un terme à l'aventure... D'une sensibilité très contemporaine dans le fond et dans la forme, le film du tandem Beaudry/Bouvier donne lieu à d'intéressantes variations sur la saisie de la réalité et les relations humaines. Two friends, photographer Jean-Pierre and writer Marc, have dreamed up an unusual project. Every morning for a year at exactly 8 o'clock, Jean-Pierre takes a picture of the same ordinary street corner while Marc, who's never actually seen the spot, writes a novel based on Jean-Pierre's photos. But Jean-Pierre's personal life begins to intrude into the project and Marc is having his own, off-page problems. The street corner has long since lost its insignificance.
