| Born in Orimatilla, Finland in 1955, Mika Kaurismäki studied at the Munich Academy of Film and Television before teaming up with his brother Aki to make a series of offbeat films and earn an international cult reputation. Among his more recent films are: AMAZON (1990), ZOMBIE AND THE GHOST TRAIN (1991), THE LAST BORDER (1993) and CONDITION RED (1995).
