ELECTORAL DYSFUNCTION
This documentary film is structured as a road trip that begins when TV and radio correspondent Mo Rocca makes an eye-opening discovery: the US Constitution does not actually guarantee the right to vote, putting America in the company of Libya, Iran and Indonesia! Rocca explores the battle over voter fraud and voter I.D.; searches for the Electoral College; critiques ballot design with Todd Oldham; and encounters experts and activists across the political spectrum who offer commentary on why the US voting system is broken and how it can be fixed.
Bennett Singer, David Deschamps, Leslie D. Farrell
David Deschamps edited several political science anthologies and wrote for Time magazine's education program. Leslie D. Farrell has produced and directed prize-winning TV documentaries , particularly on African-American history, for over two decades. Bennett Singer has made numerous documentaries on social justice and human rights for PBS, HBO and other networks.
