¿QUÉ SUEÑAN LAS CABRAS? (WHAT DO GOATS DREAM?)
A documentary about goatkeepers and the nomadic life of shepherds in Oaxaca, who live high in the mountains with their animals in a solitary and dedicated life, until the time comes to deliver their herd to the hacienda where the Matanza takes place. This regional tradition is over four centuries old. All family members get involved in the Matanza and the goat meat preparation. A reflection on life and death at the Mixteca.
Jorge Prior
Born in Mexico in 1951, Jorge Prior has had a lengthy career in film and television, primarily in the field of documentaries. Among his credits: CAFÉ TACUBA (1980), EL OMBLIGO DE LA LUNA (1988), PRUEBAS DE AMOR (1990), Teresa Cito. Crónica y memoria (1997), Reymundo Sesma. Este lado (1998) and Javier Marín.
