SUXXESS
Omniville, a laid-back Swedish software company, has two problems on its hands: the big new program which it has been developing, "Suxxess", is encountering some programming glitches and may not be ready for its projected release date, and it is getting a new Chief Operating Officer. Everyone expects Daniel Carlsberg, the company's young development manager, to get the job, but head office has decided to parachute in a tough new taskmaster, Robert Mattson. No more roller skating in the hallways, no more cakes and coffee, no more cheery receptionists, no more choir practice on company time. Downsizing is the new order of the day. While a couple of ambitious climbers suck up to the new boss, the other employees are all simply too stunned by the dramatic shift in workplace policies to protest. All except Daniel and his chief programmer James. But theirs is a lonely fight that even Daniel's girlfriend Carla has abandoned. Then heaven intervenes and Robert falls off a cliff after a boozy drive in the country. This time head office makes the right choice for Omniville: Daniel. Things will now change for the better. The choir will resume practicing, the cakes will be back, James will get the extra help he needs to finish Suxxess in time. Or so they all believe...
