FOOD OF LOVE
Paul, a handsome and talented music student, is employed as the page-turner at a San Francisco concert by the world famous British pianist Richard Kennington. An ardent admirer of Kennington's, Paul is a hard worker. And not only is Paul diligent, he is also very attractive, a fact that does not go unnoticed by Kennington and his agent Joseph Mansourian. The pianist runs into his page-turner once again in Barcelona, where the young man is currently on holiday with his mother, Pamela. Paul's father recently left the family and Pamela is still struggling to cope with the separation. Kennington charms Pamela but it is with young Paul that he begins an affair. All this comes to an abrupt end when Kennington -- conveniently -- is called back to London, thus avoiding the need for commitment. Pamela begins to recover her self-confidence and, back in the United States, Paul reapplies himself to his studies at Juilliard. He runs into Mansourian in an elevator and ends up being seduced once again by an older man. To make matters worse, he learns that he may just not have what it takes for a professional career. Does he have enough to face reality? Does his mother?
