DRAGONFLIES
Eddie and Maria meet at a time in their lives when they both need someone to save them. They start a life together on a remote farm in Sweden, in a place almost void of people, except for a few isolated neighbours. They want to put certain things behind them; they want to spend time together in peace. But there is no such place. On Maria's birthday, Eddie drives to the village. At a gas station, he meets a shadow from his past, his old friend Kullmann who once served a prison sentence for a crime committed by them both. When Eddie invites him to stay at their house, the fragile peace gets broken."With its sparse dialogue and emphasis on telling its story mostly through images and moods, DRAGONFLIES is a welcome treat for audiences tired of fast editing and bombastic soundtracks... a chamber piece for three characters in a rural setting (marking) a strong feature return by writer-director Marius Holst." -- Gunnar Rehlin (Variety)
