An office worker arrives early for another day on the job. But wait, there's a new worker in a chair uncomfortably close. Pretty soon, elbows are bumping, ink is spilling, and tempers are flaring.


Diane Obomsawin
-- Born in Canada, Diane Obomsawin moved to France as a child, where she began a career in graphic design. After her return to Montreal in 1983, she studied animation at Concordia University where she produced four films, some of which have screened at film festivals around the world. Among her other films, The Coat competed at the Annecy Festival in 2000, and both it and The Worm, were shown at the 2000 Montreal World Film Festival. Well-known as a painter and illustrator, she won a Canadian National Magazine Award in 1991.
