Akim, a black mechanic in Paris, is married to Isabelle, a white woman. One day he quits his job to return to his native country in Africa and find work there. His wife rejects his decision and leaves him. Akim sinks into a depression. He returns to Africa but keeps hoping his wife will join him.

-- Born in Burkina Faso in 1966, Tahirou Tass�r� Ou�draogo studied cinema in Paris between 1992 and 1999. He apprenticed with Idrissa Ou�draogo and Henri Duparc. He made his directorial debut in 2000 with Le Chauffeur du d�put�.
