RED BEAR
After doing seven years in prison for murder and armed robbery, Oso ("Bear") is released on parole. His wife Natalia and daughter Alicia, the apple of his eye, now live with Sergio, who has lost his job but still plays the horses hoping for a financial miracle. Oso is outraged. He's always had a hard-to-control temper but he is particularly riled by the fact that such a "loser" is now the man acting as his little girl's guardian. Under normal circumstances he would simply walk in and throw the man out, but the conditions of his parole require him to get a job and keep out of trouble. This is easier said than done for a man for whom crime and violence are a way of life. Oso decides to pay a visit to Turco, a local crime boss who owes him money that he could never collect while he was behind bars. In lieu of payment Turco suggests cutting him in on a new "job" at the stadium. Oso has no choice but to accept. Turco's plan is a double-cross that will put Oso away for good; Oso's is to avoid the trap and get away with enough money to ensure his daughter's future. A showdown is looming.
