A CITIZEN, A DETECTIVE AND A THIEF
Fathi is a police informer, S�lim is a writer and al-Margouchi is a thief. Fathi brings the other two together even though S�lim's background is bourgeois and al-Margouchi is a creature of lower-class pop culture. Three men from three different social backgrounds. At first, not unexpectedly, there are violent differences of opinion. But crime links them all and they remain friends for twenty years, sharing a unique world built of understanding and complicity.
Daoud Abdel Sayyed
Born in Cairo, Egypt in 1946, Daoud Abdel Sayyed graduated from the Cairo Film Academy in 1967 and joined the new wave of Egyptian cinema of the 1980s.
