AIDA DEGLI ALBERI
Aida is galloping along on her sweet, eccentric mount Goa through the leafy trees of the kingdom of Arborea. The young rider is the brave daughter of Amonasro, king of Arborea, and as she rides, a horde of strange animals is advancing on the forest. Suddenly the arboreal peace is shattered. Trees come crashing down as a mob of cyclopean beasts rampage through the woods, destroying everything in their way. They are led by the soldiers of Petra who are conducting a raid in search of slaves. In contrast to Arborea, Petra is an arid kingdom of massive stone towers and Golden Calves, a violent place over which looms the temple of Satam, god of war. Back in Petra, the high priest Ramfis is plotting to usurp the throne. The plan is for his meek son Kak to marry Princess Amneris; when that happens, he, the great Ramfis, will become master of Petra. Meanwhile, Aida is captured by the soldiers during the raid and she becomes the slave of Amneris. Amonasro is captured too, but young Radames, the daredevil son of the Petran general, quickly comes to their aid. He has fallen in love with Aida and, heedless of the risks involved, attempts to save the king of Arborea. But can goodness prevail in the face of the seemingly inexorable forces of wickedness and war?
