MR. BONES
A plane crashes on the African plains and a white toddler is flung clear of the wreckage. The youngster astounds a group of Kavuki onlookers when he repels a stalking lion with nothing more than flatulence. The heroic infant is adopted by the garrulous Kavuki tribe and during his childhood learns the ancient art of reading the bones and is soon nicknamed Bones by the tribespeople. His ability to divine the future endears him to the Kavuki king, Tsonga, a man desperate to have a male heir to succeed him. He takes more and more wives, but none of them produce the son he desires. The king's hopes are revived when Bones tells him that he has a son from a liaison many years before. Desperate to be reunited with his heir, Tsonga orders Bones to go the "City of Sun" and find him. When Bones arrives at Sun City, he finds that it is hosting the Million Dollar Golf Challenge. Among the contestants is ace golfer Vince Lee, accompanied by his agent Pudbedder. Their trip to Africa has been an unending nightmare for Pudbedder -- struck by a ball of elephant dung, beaten by an American tourist and hospitalized after being struck by a falling pig. His nightmare is about to get worse as Bones believes that Vince is the King's son. There is a lot riding on Vince winning the tournament. Zach Devlin, an unscrupulous manager has a bet of 4 million riding on a victory by Vince. With Pudbetter incapacitated, Vince isn't in top form and Zach becomes increasingly worried about his investment. The sudden appearance of Bones on the course changes everything, though whether for the better or the worse has yet to be decided.
