BRITNEY BABY -- ONE MORE TIME
Prize-winning Milwaukee independent filmmaker Dude Schmitz desperately needs money. The crew of his last film has yet to be paid and he's already in financial trouble with his new project. In a local diner, Dude befriends anguished Britney impersonator, Robert Stephens, winner of a Britney look-alike contest. Opportunity knocks when the news director of the local TV station gives Dude the chance of a lifetime -- an exclusive with pop icon Britney Spears. But the crew is unceremoniously tossed after a characteristically crude query from Dude, and he never gets a chance to finish his interview with the teen star. Dude reformulates a plan to ressurect his hoped-for payday. In exchange for Robert pretending to be Britney in a series of exclusive "road trip" style interviews for the TV station, Dude promises to introduce Robert to Britney at her next concert in New Orleans. Dude, Robert and the rest of the rag-tag crew pile into an RV and head for New Orleans. When Dude realizes that he's strapped for cash, he secretly photographs Robert as "Britney" encountering menacing truckers, worshipful children at a hospital, and crazed fans in a shopping mall. To raise the necessary cash along the way, Dude sells a couple of tantalizing photos to The Daily Innuendo...
