Sima Urale
-- Born in Samoa, Sima Urale emigrated with her family to New Zealand in 1974. She graduated from the New Zealand Drama School in 1989, acted for two years, then studied filmmaking at the Victorian College of the Arts and Television School. She has directed several music videos as well as a short O Tamaiti (1996, winner of many international awards) and a documentary Velvet Dreams (1997).
