SON OF THE BRIDE
Rafael Belvedere is not happy with the life he leads. He can't seem to communicate with anybody or anything; he never has time. To comfort himself, he clicks on the television and watches old episodes of El Zorro, his favourite show. At 42, he looks nothing like his fictional hero. Those childhood years when he would don a black cape and mask and pretend to be Diego de la Vega are long gone. His reality is at once simpler and more complicated. He has no ideals and has long since given up trying to meet people's expectations. Now he lives only for the restaurant that his father founded. Divorced long ago, he never made time to watch his daughter Vicky grow up. He has no buddies and prefers to avoid any long-term commitment to his current girlfriend. Furthermore, he hasn't seen his mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's and lives in a rest home, in over a year. Rafael just wants to be left alone. He can't cope, and it seems his efforts aren't enough for anyone. But a series of unexpected events suddenly give Rafael a new outlook on life...
